| Assassin Dark Elf Assassins are masters of death and the bringers of oblivion. Trained from childhood as Adepts of Khaine, devotees of the god of war, death and murder, they are unparalleled warriors, skilled in weapons and poisons. They are one of the most potent tools in the armoury of the Witch King, and those lords foolish enough to displease Malekith disappear swiftly. | ||
| Beastmaster Apprentice + War Hydra Cruel and malicious, Beastmaster Apprentices have shown a particular talent for breaking in and taming the slaves, beasts and monsters in their care. One of the most powerful of these beasts is the War Hydra, a titanic scaled creature with multiple serpentine heads, each of which belches smoke and fire. | ||
| Black Guard The Black Guard are the personal guard of the Witch King Malekith, and the fiercest warriors in the lands of chill. Wondrously ruthless and efficient on the attack, and immovable in defence, the Black Guard are the terror of their enemies, and only the most loyal, vicious and skilled warriors are chosen to join their elite ranks. | ||
| Cold One Knights The nobles of the Dark Elves ride to war upon the backs of vicious reptiles known as Cold Ones. The powerful jaws of the Cold Ones are easily capable of ripping a man’s arm from the socket, and their tough hides protect them from all but the most powerful of blows. In order to ride these dangerous beasts the knights must conceal their own warm-blooded scent by anointing themselves with the poisonous slime exuded by the Cold Ones themselves. Their charge is truly terrifying, and few can stand against them. | ||
| Cold Ones (mount for heroes) Cold Ones are bred far beneath the surface of the world, deep within cold, wet caverns under Naggaroth. They are deadly creatures that are almost immune to pain, and they make particularly ferocious and dangerous mounts. Though perhaps not as swift as a horse, they make up for this with their brutal strength and predatory nature. | ||
| Dark Elf Crossbowmen Dark Elf warriors are citizen-warriors, for every Dark Elf is trained in the arts of war from a young age. Female Dark Elves are easily as capable as their male kin, and both fight side by side on the field of battle. The Repeater Crossbow is the favoured missile weapon of the Dark Elves, and its high rate of fire makes it a deadly weapon in the hands of the citizen-warriors. | ||
| Dark Elf Dragon (mount for heroes) Ancient and deadly, the dragons of Naggaroth are reared by the Beastmasters and are amongst the most powerful creatures in all the lands. They can breathe forth a noxious cloud of corrosive fumes that burns skin and causes any who breathes it to choke to death. Only the greatest lords amongst the Dark Elves ride atop the massive Black Dragons of Naggaroth which, even alone, have the power to break the back of an army. | ||
| Dark Elf Spearmen Citizen-warriors of Naggaroth are most commonly armed with long, heavy bladed spears, and they are uniformly well drilled in their usage. Each warrior is highly skilled and has reactions far superior to those of lesser races, and through near constant warfare and training, the citizen-warriors of Naggaroth are more than a match for the professional soldiers of other races. | ||
| Harpies Harpies are feral winged creatures possessed of a savage, primeval beauty. Some claim they are the souls of slain Witch Elves given form, others that they are the manifestation of Khaine in his aspect of the predator. They are creatures of Khaine, that is for sure, for they delight in the tormenting of their victims and feast upon raw flesh. | ||
| Highborn The noble Highborns are the ruling elite of Naggaroth, and it is they who often lead the armies of conquest against the lesser races. They are haughty and noble of nature, and their training in the arts of war is second to none. Equipped with the finest of Dark Elf arms and armour, they are fearsome foes on the field of battle. | ||
| High Sorceress The High Sorceresses are the most powerful practitioners of the Dark Arts in all of Naggaroth bar the Witch King himself, and they wield terrifying powers. They are incredibly adept at manipulating the Winds of Magic in their rawest, most destructive form, channelling energies that would destroy lesser beings into powerful spells that can lay waste to enemy armies. | ||
| Kaeleth Claimed as a babe by the bloody Witch Elf priestesses of Khaine, the infant Kaeleth was offered up to Khaine, the god of murder, and plunged ritualistically into a Cauldron of Blood. Initiated into the Temple of Khaine, the young Dark Elf was raised as an Assassin, and over the centuries has become a master of death. One of the Witch King’s most feared assassins, Kaeleth is a master of blades, poison and the darkness, and he is capable of infiltrating the enemy, slaying his target and making his escape without trace. But it is not just the foes of the Dark Elves that must fear him – for Malekith uses Kaeleth to silence any Dark Elf foolish enough to question his authority. | ||
| Lilaeth Bitter and fuelled by hatred, Lilaeth is a member of the dark convents of the sorceresses – a mistress of the Dark Arts. As are all Sorceresses she is wedded to Malekith the Witch King, and studied many years to master the channelling of the raw Winds of Magic that flow across the land. For centuries she has served the Witch King, and she commands devastatingly destructive magic. When the Witch King launched a war against his hated High Elf kin, Lilaeth fought at his side, leading a splinter army that pushed deep into Ulthuan. This war was eventually repelled, and Lilaeth’s army was shattered. At the mercy of the High Elf mage Aurelion, Lilaeth’s life was spared that she may face the wrath of the Witch King. Malekith has given her one chance to redeem her failure, and to seek her vengeance on the High Elves. | ||
| Noble Dark Elf Nobles are the war-leaders and captains of the Witch King’s armies, malicious killers whose grasp of military strategy and tactics are matched only by their skill in battle. Wielding the finest of weapons and protected by powerful armour, they are capable warriors trained from birth to kill. | ||
| Reaper Bolt Thrower + Crew Reaper Bolt Throwers are potent engines of war, able to shoot a hail of barbed bolts each as long as a man is tall. At sea they are used upon Dark Elf ships to clear the decks of enemy vessels, and on land they are utilised in war to scythe down entire ranks of enemy warriors. | ||
| Sorceress Dark Elf Sorceresses wield magic far superior and much more destructive to that of humans, able to tear the souls from enemy warriors and call upon daemons to drag their foes to the Realm of Chaos. They are deadly and vicious foes, and all rightly fear them. | ||
| Tulaketh A noble Highborn, Tulaketh is a brutal and unforgiving commander in the armies of the Witch King. Rumours of the torturous deaths of those who have displeased him ensure that his orders are followed without question. In battle, Tulaketh is all that a noble Dark Elf warrior could aspire to be – vicious, full of hatred, obeyed without question and a master of the blade. | ||
| Witch Elves Witch Elves are the intoxicating and alluring maiden-elves wedded to Khaine, the Lord of Murder. For them the battlefield is just another temple to Khaine, and the screams of the dying are praises sung in honour of the bloody-handed god. Before battle, the Brides of Khaine drink elixir-laced blood that fills them with bloodlust and rage. | ||
